Two weeks into 2012 and still no blog post? Time for a change! Just came back from a city trip to Paris and had an amazing week. My French may not be as good as it used to be, but I can still manage to get around quite easily. Since I mostly hung out with Australians and Kiwis however, there was not much need to rely on la langue française in the first place. And yes, we still have the photos.
Another interesting story: my short film ‘Offers’ is online! Colour correction and all other parts of the editing process took longer than anticipated, but it’s finally here. I even managed to get it on IMDb. An English subtitled version is due shortly and submission to film festivals is also on its way.
To increase productivity (and, hopefully, write more blogs), I treated myself to a new iPhone and a lovely espresso maker. Just my share of New Year’s delights and resolutions. À bientôt!
The need for hot cocoa is getting stronger by the day. Wow, it’s been too long since I wrote a story worth telling. No, I’m not pregnant.. just excited!
The past few weeks have been astoundingly overwhelming. Even summer decided to show its face. Went to the beach. Met up with Philip Bloom. Went to an Owl City concert. Spoke to Luke Leighfield and Jose Vanders. And reunited with a good old friend named Simon.
What’s up next? The premiere of my short film this Saturday. Will also be volunteering at the Amsterdam Film Week in November. Life is great.
My recommendation for today: ‘Metal Detector’ by Jose Vanders, that’s track number four.
Sure you may! Taking that as a compliment gets easier by the day. Granted, I’m only 23. But still. Some people don’t like to grow up, some people do and others simply don’t seem to grow up even if they wanted to. If one were to categorize me, I’d probably fit the latter. But that’s okay. It’s just that I don’t always feel like taking everything so seriously. Seriously, what would be the fun in that?
Anyway, the main reason for me to start this blog is to share some of my thoughts. I might not be the most important person in the world but I’m sure hoping to enlighten you with an amusing article from time to time. Feel free to leave your comments, as long as they’re sensible. Have a good day and be sure to visit my portfolio at vincentpronk.com. See you soon!
